On Saturday 9 April Oldfield Smith & Co Directors Richard and Bernard were proud to attend a Charity Ball at Buxted Park Hotel, to support Oscar’s Wish Foundation.
A capacity audience heard the heartbreaking story of Founder Gemma Kybert who lost her son Oscar in her 26th week of pregnancy. However, from this tragic beginning, Gemma has worked tirelessly to help and support others who have faced the pain of the loss of a child. Her incredible devotion has inspired a team of Trustees and built a truly amazing organisation to provide support, comfort and hope in some of life’s darkest hours.
Despite the gravity and emotion of the past, Gemma and her team gave a truly uplifting and positive presentation on the Foundation’s work to date and its plans for the future. Much needed funds were raised through the sale of tickets for the event, a charity auction and a raffle with amazing prized donated by local businesses.
Gemma – you have achieved so much and should rightly be very proud. We are pleased and honoured to have been part of the this small step on your journey. You are amazing.
