Bernard Smith, President of Uckfield Chamber of Commerce and Director of Oldfield Smith & Co, chaired a very positive meeting of the Chamber last night. The meeting took place at The Wok Inn, Halland and was attended by approximately 80 local business people. After the meeting a Chinese buffet was served courtesy of our hosts, Mr & Mrs Tse.
This was the first meeting chaired by Bernard after he was elected as President in November. Topics covered included handling of the roadworks anticipated to commence next month, new Members slot, a presentation from committee members of Uckfield Carnival and a very informative talk from The Lions club relating to defibrillators they have installed around the town.
