The Oldfield Smith & Co team attended the 2016 Uckfield Business Awards, held at the East Sussex National last Thursday, 10th November.

Organised by the Uckfield Chamber of Commerce, of which our Director and Head of Professional Services, Bernard Smith, is Chairman and President, the event celebrates the wide range of businesses active in the town and the huge pool of talent in and around the Uckfield area.

In front of a sell out audience, 16 Awards were presented, with Bernard being honoured to receive the gong for “Business Person of the Year (Male)” – Jaqueline Hardaway of Dawson Hart Solicitors picking up the Award for Business Person of the Year (Female).
Bernard was also pleased to be able to bestow the President’s Award to the Uckfield – The Future group, who were behind the successful “Uckfield is Open” promotion throughout the year, to help the town’s retailers and business community during the difficulties posed by the High Street roadworks.
We were delighted that a number of our clients and businesses we have worked with in the past were also honoured for their success. We very much look forward to continuing to help local business find the right commercial property to enable them to grow and expand.
