The Highlands Inn, Uckfield, recently acquired by the Ridley Family after a pre-lease survey by Oldfield Smith & Co
Oldfield Smith & Co are delighted to have helped the Ridley Family to acquire a new lease of the Highlands Inn at Ridgewood in Uckfield. The agreements were signed earlier this week and work is already underway on a comprehensive refit which will see the Highlands transformed into a vibrant pub with a contemporary feel.
The Ridley family already run the Cock Inn at Ringmer, so bring a huge amount of experience with them to the Highlands.
Bernard Smith of our Professional Department surveyed the pub for the Ridley family last year and his report on the condition of the building was one of the key pieces of information used in negotiations with the owners to agree terms for the new lease. He inspected again this week and found work already underway to clear out the old fittings and refurbish the buildings, with the entire Ridley family not only there to supervise, but actively involved in sorting through the building and making sure that everything is done to the highest standard from the outset.
